Summary:
Provides administrative and secretarial support to one or more nursing units and serves as a point of contact for staff, patients, caregivers, and other healthcare organizations.
Responsibilities:
- Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
- Greeting and directing visitors, relaying information and messages to patients and medical staff, and facilitating communication between the care unit and other healthcare providers.
- Answering telephones, distributing mail, preparing and filing paperwork, and ordering and storing supplies.
- Maintaining and updating patient records; preparing admission and discharge paperwork
- Filing test and lab reports within medical records.
- Coordinating patient services by scheduling tests, treatments, and consultations for patients and arranging for patient transfers.
- Performs administrative activities in compliance with all regulations.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- A minimum of 1 year of related experience
