POSITION SUMMARY: The Treadmill Technician is responsible for the performance of diagnostic Cardiac Treadmill Testing, assists with Stress Echocardiogram Testing, EKGs, Holter Monitors, Event Monitors, and Nuclear Stress Testing. Provides written technical impressions to assist cardiologists with interpretations.
Requirements
EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent required.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: Current BLS issued through American Heart Association required. ACLS issued by the American Heart Association peferred. IV certification preferred. Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT) certification preferred. EMT-I or EMT-P or medical assistant certification preferred.
SKILLS: Must possess strong organizational, time management, detail and communication skills; the ability to prioritize projects and work in a fast paced, frequently crisis driven environment. Basic computer skills required, including Microsoft Office Suite, e-mail and typing. Data collection, problem solving, and decision making skills required. Knowledge of treadmills, Holter monitors, Event monitors, EECP, EKGs and arrhythmias and medical assisting. Bilingual in Spanish or local Native language a plus.
EXPERIENCE: Two years experience in related health care field required.

Works in a clean, well-lighted, ventilated smoke-free environment. Exposure to airborne particles, blood-borne pathogens, risk of fire, risk of electrical shock and risk of radiation.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
On a regular basis: Standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs unassisted, crouching or stooping, finger or manual dexterity and repetitive finger motion as in the use of a computer, ability to see, have close vision, color discrimination, peripheral vision, depth perception and focusing ability, reaching or stretching, speaking clearly and accurately for maximum understanding by the listener, ability to see with or without corrective lenses at lest 15 feet.
On an occasional basis: Exposure to loud noise levels.
