Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Lead Bartender to oversee beverage service operations in a lively hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, exceptional customer service abilities, and extensive knowledge of bar operations, including POS systems such as Aloha and Micros. This role involves managing a team of bartenders, ensuring compliance with food safety standards, and delivering an outstanding guest experience in settings ranging from fine dining to nightclubs and banquet events.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the bartending team to ensure efficient and professional service.
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks, adhering to recipes and presentation standards.
- Manage POS transactions using Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar systems for accurate cash handling and sales recording.
- Oversee inventory control, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste.
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in compliance with health regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues promptly.
- Train new staff on bartending techniques, POS operation, and customer service protocols.
- Ensure responsible alcohol service in accordance with legal requirements and venue policies.
- Collaborate with management on event setups such as catering, banquets, or nightclub functions.
- Monitor the bar area for safety hazards and enforce security procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a bartender with a strong background in food service or hospitality industries.
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience as a Lead Bartender or similar role preferred.
- Proficiency with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods.
- Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell beverages and promote specials effectively.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Experience working in fine dining establishments, nightclubs, banquet settings, or catering environments is highly desirable.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and inventory management.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a personable demeanor.
