What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Coordinator position at Christopher's Fine Jewelry?
Christopher's Fine Jewelry, a trusted independent jeweler in Pawleys Island, is hiring an Administrative Support Coordinator — the central point of coordination that keeps our business running smoothly behind the scenes.
This role is for someone who genuinely enjoys creating order: the person who notices the details, follows through without reminders, anticipates what's needed before being asked, and takes pride in making sure nothing falls through the cracks.
What you'll do
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to ownership and the team
- Manage calendars, appointments, scheduling, and meeting coordination
- Handle incoming calls, emails, and correspondence professionally
- Serve as a liaison between the team, vendors, and clients
- Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and business documents
- Organize and maintain digital and physical filing systems
- Monitor deadlines, outstanding tasks, and priorities — and keep them moving
- Assist ownership with special projects as needed
What we're looking for
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with excellent follow-through
- Proactive and resourceful — you see what needs to happen and handle it before it becomes a problem
- Comfortable juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Discreet and professional — you can be trusted with sensitive business information
- Strong computer proficiency (Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace)
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Prior administrative, office coordination, or operations experience preferred
- Retail, luxury, or client-service experience is a plus
What success looks like
You'll know you're succeeding when the business runs more smoothly because you're in it: communication flows, details don't get missed, bottlenecks disappear, and the team can count on you for calm, structure, and ownership every day.
If you're a self-starter who enjoys supporting a team and being a key part of a successful local business, we'd love to hear from you.
