Retail Store Associate

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their purchases, and maintaining a well-organized store environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in retail sales, strong communication skills, and a passion for helping customers find the products they need. This position requires afternoon shift availability. Hours would likely be Wednesday through Sunday 3pm - 7pm.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store.
• Provide knowledgeable answers to customer inquiries regarding products and services.
• Operate cash registers and Point of Sale (POS) systems efficiently while ensuring accurate transactions.
• Maintain stock levels by organizing merchandise on shelves and restocking items as needed.
• Utilize retail math skills to manage inventory and assist with pricing adjustments.
• Ensure a clean and organized sales floor, including managing product displays and promotional materials.
• Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally, ensuring a positive shopping experience.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales store environments or food service is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
• Familiarity with POS systems.
• Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in stock management and merchandising.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including afternoons and weekends as needed.
