Duties

• Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
• Implement specialized instructional techniques including speech therapy, behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis, and music therapy to support students with disabilities or developmental delays.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement strategies and classroom management techniques to foster a safe and productive learning environment.
• Collaborate with parents, caregivers, therapists, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and review Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that set clear goals for student progress.
• Utilize learning technology and instructional design principles to enhance engagement and facilitate differentiated instruction for diverse learners.
• Assess student progress regularly through standardized testing, formative assessments, and observational data; adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to students in early childhood education settings, preschool programs, or specialized classrooms such as Montessori or preschool environments.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, behavioral incidents, and other documentation necessary for compliance and reporting purposes.

Experience

• Proven classroom experience in early childhood education or special education settings working with children with disabilities or developmental challenges.
• Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development across subjects such as literacy education, math, physical education, recreational therapy, library services, and child welfare initiatives.
• Familiarity with teaching physical education, preschool programs, toddler care or Montessori methods is highly desirable.
• Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), deaf education needs, visually impaired education or other specialized populations.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues, parents, therapists, and other stakeholders.
• Knowledge of behavioral health practices including behavior management techniques and behavioral health interventions.
• Ability to design engaging lessons that incorporate learning technology tools while ensuring accessibility for all students.
