What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Wedding Planner position at Christofora Events?
We’re hiring Assistant Planners weekends (mostly Saturdays, some Fridays and Sundays) May through October. This is a seasonal position. Pay based on experience, hourly rate plus tips.
If you have hospitality experience or are looking to start a career in events this might be a position for you. It's a great position for college students or someone with a flexible weekend schedule looking to make extra $. This is NOT a full time or permanent position.
MUST be located in the Hudson Valley region (Dutchess, Ulster, Columbia or Greene Counties). NYC area applicants WILL NOT be considered. We like our staff to be local.
Our events take place throughout the Hudson Valley. You will be expected to drive to and from events so a dependable car is required. Some travel pay provided for events over 1 hours away.

Follows directions to a T and doesn't deviate from the specific directions.

Ability to work independently and as a team members.
Must dress in business attire and follow dress code requirements provided by company.
Understands how important a wedding day is to our couples and wants to exceed their expectations.
Duties and role:
Manage event schedules, assist wedding party and VIPs on the wedding day, set up of personal items, direct guests, direct transportation, work with vendor team and assist planner where needed.
Must be able to read, write and communicate well.
Punctuality is important and from time to time you will be in charge of making sure things are moving on time.
Professionalism and well groomed appearance is very important. We have a specific dress code.
This position is seasonal May through October. It is weekend work so must be available Saturdays but some Friday and Sunday work is available.
The position requires hands-on event work throughout the Hudson Valley outdoors. This is not office work. A dependable vehicle is required for the position.
Pay is based on experience. Hourly wage plus tips.
