Role Description: Associate Attorney
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Clinton, TN. The Associate Attorney will assist in handling a range of criminal cases and provide legal support throughout the lifecycle of representation. Core responsibilities include:
• Conducting thorough legal research and analysis
• Drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
• Consulting with and advising clients
• Representing clients in court proceedings
• Collaborating with the legal team to develop case strategies
• Staying current on changes in Tennessee criminal law, procedural rules, and defense practices
Qualifications:
• Active license to practice law in Tennessee (required)
• Real trial or courtroom experience strongly preferred
• In the absence of real courtroom experience, mock trial experience is required
• Strong understanding and practical application of the Tennessee Rules of Evidence
• Proven legal research skills
• Strong time-management, communication, and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines independently
• Experience with courtroom procedure and case management software is a plus
