THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- 6-9 years of experience in landscape design.
- At least 3 years of project management experience.
- A passion for design excellence and professional growth.
- Strong communication skills and a positive, self-start attitude.
- Exceptional design abilities and a commitment to quality.
RESPONSIBILITIES: THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Coordination, scheduling, and management of projects including interfacing with clients, vendors, and contractors
- Manage and delegate tasks to support staff
- Project design in collaboration with Principal and Landscape Architect, in concept development and design features
- Formulating and assembling project deliverables
- Preparing presentation packages, sketching schematic design, delegating, and managing drawings
- Preparing construction document details- delegating and managing drawings
- Provides design documentation in the form of graphic illustration and imagery research on assigned projects
- Communicates with design team and others regarding project needs
- Site observations and reviews during construction phase(s)
- Lead client meetings and presentations
- Redline CAD drawings
- Manage project budgets and deadlines
DESIRED SKILL SET:
- Strong technical knowledge in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, or Land Use Planning
- Conceptual design abilities on master plans and detail scales
- Strong knowledge of Southern California plant palette
- AutoCAD- Proficient in CAD with a clear understanding of technical drawings- plans, sections, elevations
- Adobe Creative Suite- Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
- Sketchup (not required, but a is a software we use)- graphic design renderings and presentation
- Strong administrative skills as it pertains to project management- Written and verbal communication, organized, efficient
- Perspective Drawings- Strong rendering skills for master plans, perspectives, elevations, and sections
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in landscape architecture or architecture
Full time position | Salary DOE- $90,000- $110,000
