Are you looking to start or grow your career in the dental field? We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Dental Sterilization Technician to join our team. This is a critical role in our office, ensuring the highest standards of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency for our patients and staff.
As a Sterilization Technician, you will be responsible for managing the flow of dental instruments, maintaining our sterilization center, and supporting the dental assistants and doctors to ensure a seamless patient experience. Experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Instrument Processing: Decontaminate, clean, sterilize, and package dental instruments according to OSHA and CDC guidelines.
- Operatory Turnaround: Clean and disinfect dental treatment rooms between patients.
- Maintenance: Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance on autoclaves and other dental equipment.
- Inventory Management: Monitor clinical supplies and assist with restocking treatment rooms and the sterilization bay.
- Safety Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and hazardous waste disposal regulations.
- Clinical Support: Assist the dental team with tray setups and basic clinical tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in a dental or medical setting is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate with a strong work ethic.
- Certifications: Infection Control certification required. X-ray certification and Coronal Polishing license are a plus, but not required.
- Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and a team-player attitude.
- Reliability: Strong punctuality and a commitment to maintaining a sterile environment.
