Schedule
We are currently seeking a dependable and compassionate caregiver for morning visits lasting approximately 2–3 hours per day.
Preferred schedule:
- Monday and Wednesday required
- Thursday may be added
- Approximately 2–3 hours per visit
- Morning availability required
Exact start time will be coordinated with the client, family, and selected caregiver.
Position Overview
Christina’s Compassionate Care LLC is looking for a reliable caregiver to provide non-medical companionship and homemaker support to an older adult who lives independently in the Harrisburg area. The goal is to help the client remain safe, comfortable, socially engaged, and as independent as possible.
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly companionship and conversation
- Prepare simple meals according to family-provided dietary instructions
- Encourage meals and fluids
- Assist with grocery shopping and approved errands
- Perform light housekeeping, including vacuuming, sweeping, and laundry
- Encourage safe and enjoyable daily activities
- Observe and report changes in mobility, mood, appetite, cognition, or general condition
- Provide nearby support while the client is walking when appropriate
- Document services provided and communicate concerns promptly
The position is strictly non-medical and does not include medication administration, skilled nursing care, lifting, or medical procedures.
Qualifications
- Prior caregiving, companion-care, home-care, CNA, or senior-care experience preferred
- Dependable transportation
- Strong communication and observation skills
- Patient, respectful, and comfortable supporting an older adult’s independence
- Comfortable working in a home with a cat
- Able to pass a background check
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred
- Must be reliable and committed to the agreed schedule

The ideal caregiver is calm, warm, attentive, and genuinely enjoys spending time with older adults. Reliability is extremely important for this assignment. We are looking for someone who communicates promptly, follows instructions, and treats clients with dignity and respect.
