What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN Specialist - Infusion Center - Bloomington - PRN (As Needed) position at Christie Clinic?
Christie Clinic's department of Infusion Center in Bloomington on Empire is seeking a PRN(as needed) RN Specialist between the hours of Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, with no night or weekend requirements.
Duties include the provision of professional office based nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices.
Qualifications:JOB DUTIES: (This list may not include all of the duties assigned.)
- Administer prescribed medications and treatment in accordance with nursing standards and as directed by provider.
- Prepare equipment and aid provider during treatment, examination and/or testing of the patient.
- Observe, record and report patient’s condition and reaction to medication and/or treatment to provider.
- Act as a liaison between the patient and provider regarding complaints, concerns, etc.
- Instruct patient and family regarding medication, treatment instructions and patient education.
- Demonstrate the ability to respond to triage calls using nursing assessment.
- Administer IV’s for Chemotherapy and/or Phlebotomy.
- Perform related work as directed, by coordinator and as required.
- Maintain and update patient medical record upon visit.
- Maintain relevant IV supplies, medications, and office supplies for department effectiveness.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduation from an accredited college/school of nursing
- Evidence of annual completion of health-related courses and/or seminars with a certificate and/or CEU’s
- Proficient IV skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Professional nursing experience
- Acute care experience
CERTIFICATE/LICENSE:
- Possession of an Illinois State Registered Nurse License
- CPR Certification
- ACLS certification
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Demands include sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, stretching and lifting up to 50 pounds. Hearing within, or correctable to, normal range, vision correctable to 20/20 and manual dexterity for the operation of office equipment is required.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is performed in a clinical setting with possible exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances and bodily fluids. Requirements may include working irregular hours.
PAY AND BENEFITS:
The estimated pay range for this position is exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related criteria. We also offer vacation pay as well as a 401k plan.
