What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN/LPN - Urology - Fields position at Christie Clinic?
Christie Clinic's department of Urology is seeking a full-time LPN or RN at the Fields clinic from Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, with no night or weekend requirements.
Duties include the provision of professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices.
JOB DUTIES: (This list may not include all of the duties assigned.)
Administer prescribed medications and treatment in accordance with nursing standards and as directed by provider.
Prepare equipment and aid provider during treatment, examination and/or testing of the patient.
Observe, record and report patient’s condition and reaction to medication and/or treatment to provider.
Act as a liaison between the patient and provider regarding complaints, concerns, etc.
Instruct patient and family regarding medication, treatment instructions and patient education.
Demonstrate the ability to respond to triage calls using nursing assessment.
Order and maintain relevant office supplies for department effectiveness.
Assist patient to exam room.
Take patient vital signs and assist with procedures during appointments. During appointment, enter vitals, update medications and order labs, as needed.
Obtain required insurance preauthorization for procedures and diagnostic testing.
Assist with in-office procedures.
Perform related work as required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
Evidence of annual completion of health related courses and/or seminars with a certificate and/or CEU’s
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Professional nursing experience
CERTIFICATE/LICENSE:
Possession of an Illinois State RN or LPN License
CPR Certification
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Demands include sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, stretching and lifting up to 75 pounds. Hearing within, or correctable to, normal range, vision correctable to 20/20 and manual dexterity for the operation of office equipment is required.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is performed in a clinical setting with possible exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, hazardous waste, bodily fluids and other waste common to a health care environment. Ionizing radiation and medicinal preparations are also common. Requirements may include working irregular hours.
PAY AND BENEFITS:
The estimated pay range for this position is exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related criteria. This position allows for interchangeable credentialed roles with varying pay ranges:
LPN pay range: $21.18 to $29.12 /hr.
RN pay range: $30.30 to $41.66 /hr.
