ChristianaCare is seeking an Environmental Service Assistant I to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our patients, staff, and visitors. Schedule:
- Full-Time (40 hours weekly)
- Evening Shift (3:00PM – 11:30PM)
- Requires working every other weekend and holiday

- Keep patient rooms, offices, and common areas clean and sanitary
- Maintain equipment and supply closets in a safe and orderly condition
- Support infection control by properly cleaning precaution rooms
- Respond to service requests via phone and app promptly
- Report maintenance issues and attend training sessions
- Uphold safety standards and confidentiality at all times
- High school diploma preferred
- At least 2 years of customer service experience
- Ability to communicate clearly and maintain a helpful attitude
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift throughout your shift
- Comfort using smartphones or PDAs for work assignments
his position has a starting rate of $17.32 per hour, regardless of prior experience. After six months of continuous employment, the hourly rate will automatically increase to $20.34 per hour. After one year of continuous employment, the hourly rate will automatically increase to $21.34 per hour.
This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
