Position Details
- Status: Casual (8 hours/week)
- Schedule: Evening shifts, 4:00 PM – 7:30 PM on weekdays and weekends required
What You’ll Do
- Prepare and serve meals for patients and cafeteria guests with accuracy and attention to dietary needs
- Deliver meal trays and nourishments promptly, ensuring excellent customer service
- Maintain food safety standards, proper storage, and sanitation procedures
- Operate dishwashing and food service equipment safely and efficiently
- Communicate effectively with patients, nursing staff, and team members

What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous food service experience preferred (6 months or more)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Commitment to safety, cleanliness, and infection control
Physical & Work Environment
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, reach, and stand for extended periods
- Exposure to infectious materials, cleaning chemicals, and temperature variations
- Must pass a physical exam and be drug-free

This position has a starting rate of $17.32 per hour, regardless of prior experience. After six months of continuous employment, the hourly rate will automatically increase to $20.34 per hour. After one year of continuous employment, the hourly rate will automatically increase to $21.34 per hour. This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting.
