Job Details Christiana Care Primary Care at Hockessin is looking for a Senior Medical Assistant. ChristianaCare Primary Care at Hockessin is located at 726 Yorklyn Road in Hockessin, Delaware. ChristianaCare Primary Care at Hockessin provides comprehensive primary medical care for adults and children, including vaccinations, physical examinations, and minor medical procedures. Hockessin | ChristianaCare Work Schedule: Monday from 7am to 5pm Tuesday & Thursday from 8am to 6pm *one last night shift required per week. Wednesday from 8am to 5pm Friday from 6:45am to 3:15pm Duties & Responsibilities: As a senior medical assistant you will rooming patients for virtual and on-site procedures, taking and recording patient vitals, performing point of care testing, injections, medication administration, and EKGs, assisting clinicians with examinations and procedures, preparing exam/treatment rooms with necessary supplies and equipment, completing patient-specific paperwork, ensuring EMR is up-to-date, ensuring adequate staff coverage, participating in new hire orientation, handling patient call backs, sterilizing medical equipment, handling prior authorizations, referrals, and medical refills, scheduling tests, procedures, and surgeries, performing quality control on POCT equipment, providing documentation assistance, performing clerical duties, ordering and maintaining office clinical supplies, and performing other related duties as required. Education Requirements: High School Graduate or GED required. A graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). 2 years’ experience as a Medical Assistant is required; 3 years’ experience is preferred.
