Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Monitor and record clients' health status, reporting any changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Supervise client taking medications as prescribed and ensure adherence to care plans.
- Help with mobility and transportation needs, including accompanying clients to appointments or social activities.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients, adhering to hygiene standards.
- Collaborate with family members and healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Engage in ongoing training and education related to caregiving best practices.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in healthcare settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with geriatric care practices is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Ability to work independently while following established care plans.
- Certification in CPR/First Aid is a plus.
- Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.
- Must have own reliable transportation.
- MUST BE AVAILABLE EVENINGS (3p-10p) AND EVERY OTHER WEEKEND.
