Director of Medical Education International (MEI)
Christian Medical & Dental Associations is seeking a full-time MEI Director. This role oversees organizational strategy by setting program goals with the Associate Director and Advisory Council, managing budgets and fundraising with the Finance Subcommittee, guiding cross-cultural healthcare educational teams globally, ensuring CMDA and NGO regulatory compliance, and cultivating stakeholder partnerships to drive mission fulfillment and sustainable impact. While CMDA is working to provide support through grants and development, this is currently a 100% support-raised position.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop strategic plans to achieve organizational mission and vision.
- Lead budgeting and financial reporting to ensure fiscal responsibility with the MEI Advisory Council, Finance Subcommittee, and CMDA Accounting.
- Lead fundraising efforts and cultivate donor relationships.
- Create and maintain strategic partnerships with outside organizations including PAACS, Samaritans Purse, ICMDA, MedSend, etc.
- Manage MEI Advisory Council communications and prepare governance materials and processes.
- Supervise MEI Project Directors, Team Leaders, and MEI staff to ensure effective service delivery.
- Evaluate organizational performance and implement improvement strategies.
- Ensure MEI compliance with CMDA, legal and security policies.
- Represent organization at community events, national conferences, and international conferences (NATCON, CMDE, GMHC, Remedy East/West/Chicago, P15, others).
- Fulfill monthly MEI reporting responsibility including Senior Leadership Team Reports, the MEI Messenger, and the MEI Prayer Update.
- Oversee MEI team recruitment, training, and faculty development initiatives.
- Monitor grant application processes and manage grant compliance requirements.
- Coordinate volunteer recruitment and effective engagement strategies.
- Guide organizational branding and public relations efforts to enhance visibility including website management, speaking opportunities, and exhibiting.
- Attend monthly MEI Prayer Zoom the first Tuesday of each month.
- Participate/Lead two MEI teams/year.
- Participate in Scouting new MEI team locations globally (currently Uganda, Honduras, Belize, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Earth Mission in Myanmar needed).
- Weekly MEI staff ZOOM (currently on Tuesday after chapel).
- Answer Emails.
- Annual Christmas cards thank you to MEI donors and Advisory Council.
- Lead MEI security phone tree in the event of a MEI team emergency.
- Oversee MEI subcommittees providing leadership as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by the VP of Missions & Member Care.
MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
- A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and an exemplary Christian character.
- Compatible with the purposes, practices and statement of faith of CMDA.
- A passion and understanding of the Great Commission.
- Proven leadership experience, abilities and vision.
- Personnel and program management expertise.
- Strong oral, written and electronic communication skills. (Ability to teach & train)
- Administrative skills and experience.
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally while representing CMDA & MEI.
- Cross cultural Mission experience.
ADDITIONAL DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
· Physician or Dentist.
· Background and experience in professional healthcare education.
· Computer and social media proficiency.
· Experience working with healthcare professionals.
