Retail Planning Manager, the Americas
Overview:
The Retail Planning Manager is responsible for leading the end-to-end merchandise planning function across the Americas, driving financial performance through strategic planning, advanced analytics, and cross-functional leadership. This role owns the development and execution of sales, inventory, and ensuring alignment with regional and global business objectives.
The Manager will lead and develop direct reports, elevate analytical rigor, and act as a key business partner to Merchandising, Retail & Finance
This position reports to the Director of Planning and Allocation, the Americas.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Business Ownership
- Own the financial planning process for the Americas retail business, including annual budgets, seasonal forecasts, and long-range (3-year) strategic plans
- Translating global objectives into actionable regional strategies
- Identify and drive key business opportunities through data-driven insights
- Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership
Forecasting & Advanced Analytics
- Lead development of top-down and bottom-up forecasts
- Leverage historical data and trends to identify risks and opportunities
- Enhance analytical frameworks and reporting
- Partner with Merchandising on assortment strategy through ownership of building a merchandising plan
Inventory Strategy & Open-to-Buy
- Own and direct the OTB process
- Optimize inventory flow across regions and channels
- Provide visibility into inventory health
Business Performance Management
- Lead weekly/monthly business reviews
- Establish KPIs and dashboards
- Drive cross-functional alignment
- Ensure planning best practices
Executive Communication & Stakeholder Leadership
- Deliver presentations to leadership teams
- Translate data into business narratives
- Act as liaison across functions
- Influence decision-making
Process Optimization & Systems Leadership
- Improve planning processes
- Enhance tools and systems
- Champion best practices
- Support system enhancements
Skills and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree Merchandising, Business or related field required
- 10 years of experience in Buying and Planning
- Has managed employees in the past, enjoys coaching and developing his/her team.
- Demonstrates patience, understanding and leads by example
- Passion for Christian Louboutin and a true ambassador for the brand with strong sense of responsibility
- Ideal candidate has work experience in medium sized multinational company or luxury business.
- Additional language fluency is a plus
- Adheres to company policy and confidentiality
- Proactively contributes to creating a team atmosphere that is professional, flexible, and enjoyable
- Exudes a “no task is too big or too small” attitude, with initiative, commitment, reliability, and positivity. Does not accept mediocrity

In accordance with the New York City Commission on Human Rights and in compliance with the Salary Transparency Law, Christian Louboutin envisions the general compensation range for this position to be $100k - $120k per YEAR. *This range is NOT inclusive of other forms of compensation or benefits such as commissions, overtime, discretionary bonus, health insurance, retirement savings or paid leaves of absence. Such details will be further communicated during the interview process and/or at the time of an official offer of employment.
