What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head Men's Basketball Coach Private High School position at Christian Life Center/Layton Christian Academy?
Layton Christian Academy (LCA) located in Layton Utah is a Private School K-12 of over 600 students looking for a Men's Basketball Coach. The ideal Candidate will have a strong relationship with God and a Christian leadership approach. Primary responsibilities would be to lead the men's basketball program here at LCA but would also include other duties possibly ranging from Dean of Students or teaching depending on the applicant. Additional Job duties are negotiable based on applicants skill set.
LCA is a domestic and international school with a long basketball tradition including multiple state championships and a Head Men's basketball Coach who just retired after 22 years at LCA. The school is operated under the ministries of Christian Life Center in Layton Utah and is a ministry of the church.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree
- Minimum 3 years Coaching experience at High School level or above
- Demonstrated ability to serve as a strong Christian Role model for student athletes
- Demonstrate ability to attract and retain qualified student-athletes
- Ability to demonstrate strong communication skills both written and interpersonal
- Self-Starter, highly motivated and well organized
Responsibilities:
- Provide Christ-centered leadership in the basketball program and on campus
- Provide accountability and discipline for student-athletes as well as non athlete students on campus
- Provide accountability for academic success of student-athletes
- Supervise budgets and assistant coaches
