Job Description:
To advance the purpose of Christian Legal Society’s Attorney Ministries (“AM”) which encourages and trains legal professionals on how to integrate the Word of God and their faith in Jesus Christ with their professional and personal lives.
The Christian Legal Society (CLS) is a fellowship of Christians dedicated to serving Jesus Christ through the practice of law (Attorney Ministries), the defense of religious freedom and life (the Center for Law and Religious Freedom), by nurturing and encouraging Christian law students (Law Student Ministries), and provide Christian legal aid to the poor and needy (Christian Legal Aid).

Part-time (Up to 20 hours)
Major Responsibilities:
The AM Program Coordinator will assist and collaborate with the Director regarding ways to better serve current membership and attorney chapters, as well as assist with newly formed attorney chapters. The coordinator will work closely with the Director in communicating with all attorney chapters, building partnerships with diverse groups, setting up online conversations on current topics, and seeking to support all AM chapters and CLS partners.
Duties Include (but are not limited to):
Provide general administrative support; answer public and membership inquiries via email and telephone; and complete membership database updates.
Facilitate information updates on the website, including attorney ministries’ chapter pages, membership forms, referral directory, job board, and other pertinent information.
Assist Director to complete various projects which help establish and maintain vibrant attorney chapters across the nation, including processing chapter dues sharing and communicating with chapter leaders.
Maintain and update current contact list in membership database.
Communicate with attorney chapters.
Assist in planning and organizing attorney events, including online events, regional retreats, mentorship program, and national conference events.
Onsite assignments at the annual CLS National Conference
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
Agreeing to the CLS Statement of Faith and to abide by CLS Community Life Statement
Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
Excellent organizational and communication skills with strong attention to detail
Competency in research, writing, and analytical skills
High proficiency in using Microsoft Office and ability to coordinate events
Familiarity or experience with event coordination is a plus
Database experience a plus. Candidate must be willing to learn Blackbaud (Raiser’s Edge NXT) membership database (training will be provided).
