Seeking an EDI Specialist I to support the processing, validation, and maintenance of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions that enable secure data exchange with healthcare partners. This entry-level role assists with EDI workflows, monitoring, and issue resolution while learning healthcare transaction standards and integration practices. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically curious, and eager to grow in EDI and healthcare data integration.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in processing and validating inbound and outbound EDI transactions.
- Support monitoring of EDI workflows and escalate failures or data issues.
- Assist with data mapping, transformation, and validation under guidance.
- Help maintain documentation for EDI processes and partner configurations.
- Collaborate with ETL developers and business teams to support data exchanges.
- Follow established security, compliance, and data governance standards.

- Secure Data Transfer: Exposure to SFTP or other secure file transfer methods.
- SQL (Preferred): Ability to query and validate data in relational databases.
- Automation (Preferred): Exposure to scripting or automation for EDI processing and monitoring.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & CONSIDERATIONS
- Basic understanding of EDI concepts and file-based data exchange.
- Familiarity with structured data formats (X12, XML, CSV).
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Willingness to learn healthcare EDI standards and workflows. Education & Certifications Desired

- Internship or project experience involving EDI or ETL work.
- Exposure to data transfer by any method.
