JOB SUMMARY
Hourly Rate Range: $20.50 - $25.00

We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Painter to join our Maintenance department. The Painter will be responsible for repairs, spackles, paints, refinishes, stains and wallpapers interior and exterior surfaces and structures. Repairs and refinishes furniture as needed. Paints signs and directories. Performs other tasks as required and directed. Demonstrates an understanding of, and embraces, the mission statement of Christian Health.
Competencies:
- Paints wall surfaces, woodwork, trim and furniture with brush, rollers, or spray gun.
- Scrapes walls, washes walls, fills holes, spackles in preparation to refinish surfaces.
- Paints signs and directories.
- Repairs and refinishes furniture as needed.
- Wallpapers walls.
- Properly cares for and cleans up equipment and materials.
- Adheres to all safety and fire procedures, including those dealing with scaffolding, ladders, paint storage, etc.
- Takes precautionary measures to protect surrounding surfaces from paint drips, roller spray, etc.
- Assists or fills in for Maintenance Technician I when required.
Schedule: 7:00am-3:00pm, Monday - Friday.
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Demonstrates compliance with the CH ASPIRE Standards of Performance.
Qualifications:
- Three years experience as an industrial/commercial painter required.
- Previous hotel/health care facility experience desired.
- Background in color/finish application desired.
- Sign painting skills a plus.
- Basic computer skills.
