Program Leadership & Operations
Christian Fellowship School is seeking a qualified, faith-driven leader for our Girls Varcity Basketball Coach for the upcoming winter season.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong Christian testimony, a passion for mentoring high school student-athletes, and competitive basketball experience. You will be responsible for leading the girls' basketball program, establishing team priorities, managing operations, and modeling Christ-like character both on and off the court.
- Position Type: Part-time, Seasonal (Winter Season)
- Stipend: $3,990.00
- Schedule: Requires availability for after-school practices, evening games, and occasional Saturday contests.
Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Personable, organized, and able to establish priorities and manage time.
- Previous experience in a school or childcare setting preferred.
- Significant experience at playing and/or coaching basketball at a competitive level.
- Skilled at organizing practices, game strategies, and other team management responsibilities.
- Able to effectively communicate with players, parents, and school administration.
- Personally mature, responsible, and dependable.
- Effective in working with high school players.
- Spiritually mature and able to model Christian character and discipleship.
Required Personal Qualities
- Have received Jesus Christ as his/her personal Savior.
- Be in agreement with the school's Statement of Faith and Christian philosophy of education.
- Be a Christian role model in attitude, speech, integrity, courtesy, flexibility, gratitude, kindness, self control, perseverance, punctuality, confidentiality, personal appearance (modesty), and actions toward others.
- Recognize the role of parents as primarily responsible before God for their children's education and be prepared to assist them in that task.
- Be a member in good standing at a local, evangelical church.
- Use acceptable English in written and oral communication. Speak with clear articulation.
This is a part-time, seasonal position. Availability would be required for after-school practices and evenings and some Saturday games.
Christian Fellowship School is a small, private, Christian school in Columbia, MO and is a member of the Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA). All employees, including coaches, must be inagreement with a basic, evangelical Christian statement of faith.
