What are the responsibilities and job description for the Middle and High Christian School Math and Science Teacher position at Christian Family & Children's Center/Champion Christian School?
Champion Christian School is currently seeking a qualified and passionate Middle School and High School Math and Science Teacher to join our team now and for the upcoming school year. We are also accepting applications for short-term and long-term substitute teachers and a part time in house Tech Support position as well.

We strongly prefer candidates who are state or private school certified, however candidates who are actively pursuing certification are encouraged to apply. Individuals without certification may be considered if they have the background and skills to pursue an alternative certification pathway.
Their role will be to create an engaging classroom that encourages critical thinking, problem solving, curiosity, and a deeper understanding of God's order and design in mathematics and science, or any subject they teach.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards that incorporate innovative learning technologies and instructional design principles.
- Deliver dynamic instruction in math and science subjects to both Middleschool and Highschool Students
- Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive discipline strategies and classroom management techniques to create an engaging learning environment.
- Assess student progress regularly through standardized testing, quizzes, projects, and formative assessments; provide constructive feedback to support student growth.
- Mentor students academically and spiritually by offering guidance on coursework, college preparation, and faith-based values.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and instructional strategies to ensure consistency across grade levels.
- Utilize learning technology tools to enhance lesson delivery and facilitate interactive learning experiences.
- Support students with special educational needs by adapting lessons accordingly and implementing inclusive teaching practices.
- Engage in ongoing professional development related to science research methods, laboratory safety procedures—including dissection—and educational best practices.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate progress effectively with parents and guardians.
Experience
- Proven classroom experience teaching middle or high school students in a Christian or private school environment is highly preferred.
- Strong background in mathematics and/or science disciplines .
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development tailored to diverse learners using instructional design techniques.
- Experience working with students of varying abilities including those requiring special education accommodations; adept at behavior management strategies.
- Skilled in utilizing learning technology platforms for instruction and assessment purposes.
- Prior involvement in tutoring or mentoring students to excel academically while fostering their spiritual growth is advantageous.

Pay: $32,000.00 - $35,000.00 per year
