Responsibilities
Program Development & Oversight
- Implement and manage Christian Counseling Professional’s Compliance Program in alignment with federal and state laws, agency policies, and professional standards.
- Utilize systems and processes to monitor and evaluate compliance performance across departments.
- Plan, execute, and document internal audits to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management strategies, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Regulatory Monitoring
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, including HIPAA, Medicaid/Medicare, and state-specific behavioral health requirements.
- Ensure agency policies and procedures reflect current legal and regulatory standards.
- Support external audits by preparing documentation, providing insights on internal controls, and ensuring audit readiness.
- Maintain thorough records of audit activities, findings, and follow-up actions .
- Assist in the development of internal audit policies and procedures that promote continuous improvement
Chart Auditing
- Conduct regular audits of provider charts to ensure compliance with documentation standards, billing practices, and Christian Counseling Professionals program guidelines.
- Report audit findings directly to providers, offering clear guidance on required corrections.
- Follow up to ensure timely completion and resolution of identified discrepancies.
Compliance Monitoring
- Continuously monitor organizational adherence to internal policies and external regulations.
- Identify potential areas of risk and propose mitigation strategies.
Education & Training
- Develop and deliver compliance training programs for staff.
- Promote a culture of ethical behavior and regulatory awareness throughout the organization.
Investigations & Corrective Actions
- Investigate reported compliance concerns or complaints.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement corrective action plans, including recommendations for disciplinary measures when necessary.
Qualifications
Education
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred in one of the following fields:
- Behavioral Health
- Healthcare Administration
- Public Health
- Business Administration
- Accounting or Finance
- Or a closely related discipline
Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in behavioral health or healthcare settings.
- Exposure to compliance, auditing, or quality assurance processes.
- Familiarity with clinical documentation standards and behavioral health regulations.
Skills & Competencies
- Technical Proficiency: Strong computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with EHR systems preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; attention to detail in identifying compliance risks.
- Collaboration: Skilled in working cross-functionally with clinical, administrative, and leadership teams.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
