As the Activities Director, you will design and oversee a diverse range of social, educational, and recreational programs that support the cognitive, physical, and emotional well-being of our independent living residents. You will lead a team of support staff, volunteers, and drivers, while collaborating closely with our Memory Support Engagement Coordinators.

About The Role
As the Activities Director, you will design and oversee a diverse range of social, educational, and recreational programs that support the cognitive, physical, and emotional well-being of our independent living residents. You will lead a team of support staff, volunteers, and drivers, while collaborating closely with our Memory Support Engagement Coordinators.
- Lead and coordinate all activity programs for our Independent Living residents, including transportation for off-site events.
- Prepare resident activity assessments to tailor programs to their interests.
- Supervise activities, support staff, drivers, and volunteers.
- Design monthly newsletters and calendars for Independent Living.
- Plan and promote community events, seminars, and special celebrations.
- Ensure the safe and efficient use of spaces, equipment, and transportation.
- Maintain budget oversight and track department expenditures.
- Keep our residents informed and engaged through posters, bulletin boards, and digital communications.
- Serve as a shining example of the values and mission of Fellowship Square.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (experience in senior care may substitute).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with senior activities.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
- Prior supervisory experience.
- Compassionate, energetic, and self-directed.
- Tech-savvy and capable of using basic design or word processing software for newsletters/calendars.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- A valid driver’s license and willingness to drive company vehicles as needed.
