Our Risk Solutions division has a full-time opening for a highly skilled Director of Account Management. The Director of Account Management leads the Property & Casualty (P&C) account management team, ensuring exceptional client service and sustainable growth. This role is accountable for driving client retention, expanding account value through cross-selling and referrals, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. The Director develops and implements strategies to strengthen member relationships, increase sales and referrals across business lines, and uphold consistent service excellence. This position provides overall leadership and direction to the account management team, with a direct manager serving as the first line of staff supervision. Salary: $225,000
Duties:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Strategic Leadership & Client Management
- Develop and implement account management strategies that align with organizational goals, focusing on growth, retention, cross-selling, and client satisfaction.
- Oversee client contract reviews, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and alignment with member and company needs.
- Lead team to advise on coverage options and risk management strategies.
- Partner with the relationship management team and leadership to drive new business opportunities through expanding member client base and client referrals and additional lines of business.
- Build and maintain strong member relationships fostering long-term relationships built on trust and shared values.
- Provide insights and feedback to refine product offerings and client engagement strategies.
Team Leadership & Development
- Provide leadership and direction to the account management team, ensuring consistent, high-quality member service delivery.
- Manage and mentor a direct manager who oversees day-to-day account manager performance, providing coaching and support as needed.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture, promoting accountability, professional growth, and knowledge-sharing.
- Establish and monitor performance goals, metrics, and service standards for the account management team.
Operational Excellence & Innovation
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of contract reviews, policy renewals, and service deliverables.
- Drive process improvement initiatives to streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and enhance the member experience.
- Leverage technology and digital tools to optimize account management practices and reporting.
- Collaborate with underwriting, claims, and other departments to deliver seamless service.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance member experience and team efficiency.
- Monitor and report on account retention, service performance, and sales/referral activity to senior leadership.
- Resolve escalated client issues with urgency and professionalism.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, insurance, or a related field (CPCU, CIC, or other professional insurance designations preferred)
7 years of progressive experience in property and casualty insurance, including at least 3 years in a leadership role
Proven success in account management, client retention, and business development
Strong knowledge of insurance products, contract structures, and regulatory requirements

Excellent communication, relationship management, and negotiation skills
Strategic thinker with a track record of executing effective operational plans
