Christian Brothers Academy is seeking a dynamic individual with a scholar’s passion for the subject matter as a full-time STEM teacher – with an emphasis on technology and mathematics – for the 2025-26 school year.
Located in beautiful Monmouth County, New Jersey, Christian Brothers Academy is a Catholic college preparatory school for young men. Deeply steeped in the Lasallian tradition and a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence, Christian Brothers Academy prides itself on educating the whole student.
As part of that commitment, we are seeking a STEM teacher who can develop and implement interactive lesson plans in mathematics and technology that emphasize critical thinking and can collaborate positively with all relevant stakeholders. The ideal candidate is a dedicated educator with an engaging, enthusiastic personality who truly enjoys working with high school students and feels confident in classroom management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, secondary mathematics education, computer science, secondary technology education, or a related field
- New Jersey State Certification as a mathematics or technology education teacher or Eligibility for Certification preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills in area to be taught
- Familiarity with Lasallian pedagogy is a plus
- Knowledge of computer science principles, programming languages, algorithms, data structures and mathematical concepts
- Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Python and Java
- Familiarity with the Arduino platform a plus
- Familiarity with educational technology tools, software, and platforms used for teaching computer science and mathematics
- Familiarity with classroom technology
- Ability to contribute to our school’s diverse extracurricular programs
- Excellent communication skills with parents and students
- Ability to address students with different learning styles
- Ability to collaborate with fellow teachers
