Elementary Receptionist
7:00am - 3:30pm
Scope
We seek to hire a Receptionist who will answer a multi-line telephone system, assist visitors and create a welcoming atmosphere. Must be flexible, be able to multi-task and thrive in a team environment with a high level of confidentiality. This person should have computer knowledge that includes Google, Outlook, Word, and Excel. The successful candidate will possess a warm, welcoming and friendly voice, outstanding interpersonal skills and demonstrate a strong reflection of a clear Christian testimony.
Qualifications
The candidate shall possess characteristics that reflect:
- A strong clear Christian testimony with a mature and godly spirit
- A daily example of the highest Christian virtue both in and out of school
- Commitment to faithful attendance and support of a church whose beliefs are in agreement with the Statement of Faith for Christian Academy School System
- Agreement and belief that The Bible is the final authority concerning truth, morality, and the proper conduct of mankind
The ideal candidate shall possess:
- Proficiency of MS Office Suite and Google platforms
- A calm professional demeanor
- Proper telephone etiquette
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Switchboard experience is preferred
Accountabilities / Responsibilities
The key responsibilities will be as follows:
- Greet all guests (parents, visitors, students, and staff) quickly, courteously, and professionally in a fast-paced setting
- Accurately disseminate general information and direct inquiries to the appropriate party
- Clerical work as assigned. Work includes data entry, filing, mailings, document proofing, and various projects as they arise
- Maintains confidentiality in all aspects of the job
- Assists students and parents by giving relevant information and/or referring to appropriate staff members
- Supervises the distribution of accurate information and appropriate forms to parents, students, and teachers
- Supervises the signing in and out of students
- Provides support for school mailings
Reporting Relationship
The Elementary Receptionist will report directly to the Elementary Principal.
