Part-Time Assistant Teacher 3 Days Mon-Wed

Christ United Methodist Preschool is a private preschool center licensed by the Ohio Department of Children and Youth. We offer Pre-K and Preschool classes. Our mission is to provide educational excellence within a Christian atmosphere with the purpose of creating and sustaining a strong foundation for future learning and faith.

About the Position:

This is a great opportunity for someone beginning their career in early childhood education. It's also a great opportunity for someone who loves children and would like a part-time position while their school-age children are at school. It does not require devoting evenings and weekends to lesson planning and/or grading, etc. The main duties include: assisting the lead preschool teacher. The hours are 8:30-1:45 Monday through Wednesday. More hours are available if desired, but are not required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Must have a positive and calm attitude with children
• Must be reliable with attendance and arriving on time every day
• Assist Lead Preschool Teacher with morning class from 9:00-12:00
• Carry out planned activities with small student groups
• Assist lead teacher with large group activities
• Communicate with parents about progress of students in assigned group
• Manage learning centers as advised by Lead Teacher
• Assist Lead Teacher with material prep
• Update assigned preschool bulletin board
• Tuition available for your child

Preferred Education and Experience:

Prior experience in preschool or early childhood classrooms preferred but not required. A positive attitude is essential.

Additional Information:

This is a salaried position and is paid for school breaks, etc.

Position is part-time, 3 days per week, during the school year, more hours are available but not required
