Position Overview
Christ the King School, a vibrant Catholic school community, is seeking faith-filled and dependable Substitute Teachers to support our mission of educating the whole child—mind, body, and spirit. Substitute Teachers provide instruction and classroom leadership in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring that students continue to learn in an environment rooted in Catholic values.
Responsibilities
- Implement lesson plans and daily schedules provided by the classroom teacher.
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and Christ-centered classroom environment.
- Model and promote Catholic virtues and the school’s mission in words and actions.
- Manage student behavior and uphold school expectations with fairness and compassion.
- Provide guidance, encouragement, and support to students during instructional and non-instructional times.
- Communicate effectively with school staff regarding student needs or incidents.
Qualifications
- Valid Substitute Authorization or Teacher License.
- Bachelor’s degree or 60 college credit hours.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Dependable, flexible, and able to adapt to a variety of grade levels and subjects.
Schedule & Pay
- Flexible scheduling—accept assignments based on your availability.
- Competitive daily rate: $16.88 per hour.
