The Grade 4 Teacher at Christ the King School maintains responsibility for providing high-quality, education that nurtures the spiritual, academic, social, and emotional development of each student. The teacher integrates Catholic values into all aspects of instruction and serves as a role model of Christian behavior, supporting the mission of the school and the teachings of the Catholic Church.
Additional Key Responsibilities:
Faith Formation & Catholic Identity:
Model and promote Catholic values, teachings, and moral development in daily interactions
Help lead students in morning and afternoon prayer and participate in weekly Masses, and other religious activities
Support preparation for sacraments as appropriate to grade level, if needed
Foster a classroom environment rooted in respect, compassion, and service
Instruction & Curriculum
Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based lessons in reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies
Teach religion curriculum in alignment with diocesan guidelines, if possible
Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
Use a variety of instructional strategies and technology to enhance student learning
Classroom Management
Establish a structured, respectful, and inclusive classroom grounded in Christian principles
Promote positive behavior through clear expectations and restorative practices
Create a safe and nurturing learning environment
Student Development
Support the whole child: spiritual, academic, social, and emotional growth
Encourage responsibility, empathy, and service to others
Recognize and respond to individual student needs, collaborating with support staff when needed
Assessment & Reporting:
Assess student progress regularly using a variety of methods
Maintain accurate academic and behavioral records
Communicate student progress with parents/guardians through conferences, report cards, and ongoing communication

Collaborate with faculty, staff, and parish community

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or related field
