IDEAL CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate for this position would be a devoted follower of Jesus interested in
becoming a member of the CTK church community. The ideal candidate will be an effective and collaborative leader with proven experience managing both paid staff and volunteers. They will demonstrate strong team-building skills and the ability to work seamlessly across departments. The candidate should have direct managerial and supervisory experience, along with a background in overseeing business and financial contracts, such as leases, vendor agreements, and loans. A BA in accounting or equivalent experience and training is required, with a solid understanding of GAAP principles for not-for-profit organizations. They should bring a strong track record in organizational leadership, operational and financial management, and strategic planning. Pastoral experience is preferred, ensuring their leadership reflects both professional excellence and a heart for ministry.
Summary of Duties
The Director of Operations is responsible for overseeing the fiscal, administrative, and operational systems of the CTK Network of churches. This role involves supervising the CTK Central Services team. The Director of Operations provides spiritual care and guidance to the team they lead, ensuring alignment with the network's mission and values.
Essential Functions
- Focus: Finance, stewardship, operational systems.
- Supervise the following areas: CTK Central Service teams: Finance Director, Network Property Manager, Technology/System Department.
- Provide strategic planning in operational processes and procedures.
- Coordinate with campus pastors for financial planning, administration, and operational development.
- Oversee the development of operational oversight, including playbook/controls for the CTK Network, including:
- Budgeting - creation, management, and cash reserves
- Fiscal policy, payroll, and employee benefits
- Giving and strategy for generosity at each campus
- Legal, rent, leases, mortgages, insurance, and taxes
- IT and data
- Policies and procedures
- Human Resources in coordination with the Network Executive Pastor
- Develop capital improvement plans for each campus, including acquisitions and renovations.
- Provide oversight to the finance committee to review and evaluate CTK Network's financial integrity.
- Occasionally attend campus advisory meetings for operational advising and assistance.
- Oversee organizational compliance with federal and state requirements
- Provide biblical spiritual leadership for Operations Teams
- Develop and consistently apply a biblical theology of stewardship
- Display your personal calling through the spiritual gift of administration/helps/leadership
- Consistently bridge the connection between operations and ministry spheres
- Oversee the spiritual development of generosity within the Network of CTK
Requirements
- Effective leadership experience, both with paid staff and volunteers
- Team building
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with other departments and teams
- Direct managerial/supervisory experience
- Experience managing business and financial contracts (e.g. leases, vendor contracts, loans, etc.)
- BA in accounting, or similar experience and training
