What are the responsibilities and job description for the Guest Experience Associate position at Christ's Church?
At Christ’s Church, first impressions matter — because every guest who walks through our doors is someone we get to welcome in the name of Jesus. We’re looking for a Guest Experience Associate to lead the volunteer teams who create a warm, seamless “site-to-seat” experience for everyone who joins us, from the parking lot to the worship center.
If you’re a natural people-person, a servant leader, and someone who loves both hospitality and helping others grow — we’d love to meet you.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Guest Experience Associate Director, you’ll build, train, and disciple the volunteer teams responsible for the full guest experience. You’ll also serve as a connector across ministries, coordinating hospitality support so every service and event feels welcoming and well-run. This is a full-time, exempt role that is primarily office- and campus-based, with occasional evenings, weekends, and event support as ministry schedules require.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Recruit, train, schedule, and disciple volunteer teams across all Guest Services areas
- Create a warm, seamless “site-to-seat” experience — from the parking lot to the worship center
- Serve as the main point of contact for ministry teams, coordinating hospitality for their events
- Build consistent weekly communication and relational connection with team leaders
- Mentor and equip volunteers to reflect Christ’s love through authentic hospitality
- Partner with Volunteer Development to onboard, support, and advance new volunteers
- Establish and maintain vendor and business partner relationships
- Use Rock to schedule, communicate with, and track volunteers, and complete dashboard reporting
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- A heart for hospitality and a gift for making people feel welcome and valued
- Experience leading, building, or coordinating volunteer or guest-services teams
- Strong relational and communication skills, in person and in writing
- Organized and able to coordinate multiple teams and events at the same time
- A servant leader who equips, encourages, and develops the people around them
- Comfortable with Rock (or a similar system), Paycom, and the Office 365 suite — or the ability to learn quickly
- A personal, growing relationship with Jesus and alignment with the mission of Christ’s Church
PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL
This is primarily an office- and campus-based role with regular time alongside volunteers and at events. You should be able to lift and transport items up to 25 lbs, and be available for occasional off-hours, weekend, and event support. Occasional travel to other locations or event venues may be required, and strict confidentiality with church member information is essential.
