Panos Foods is a fast-growing family-owned food distribution company committed to operational excellence and continuous improvement. We are seeking a detail oriented and proactive HR Assistant to support our Human Resources department in delivery best-in-class people operations. The HR Assistant will provide administrative and operational support across key HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, HRIS management, compliance, and payroll support.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with recruiting tasks such as posting jobs, reviewing applications, and scheduling interviews
- Help coordinate new hire onboarding, including paperwork and orientation
- Maintain and update employee records and HR files
- Enter and manage data in the HRIS system
- Answer basic employee questions and direct them to the appropriate HR team member
- Assist with benefit enrollment and general HR documentation
- Ensure files and processes follow company policies and compliance requirements
- Provide general administrative support to the HR team
- Other duties as assigned
Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 8:30am - 5:00pm, Monday and Friday as needed during busier seasons.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years experience in Human Resources, Recruitment, or Staffing
- Bilingual: English and Spanish, required
- Strong organization and attention to detail
