Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Worship Administrator to join our vibrant team dedicated to inspiring and uplifting our community through music and spiritual leadership. In this role, you will play a vital part in planning and preparing materials for an engaging worship experience. You will support the Pastor, the Media Specialist and the music team, fostering spiritual growth, and encouraging active participation. Duties
1. Plan ahead for the appropriate service outline which may include services such as Sunday morning, Ash Wednesday, Mid-week Evening Advent and Lenten Services, Good Friday, Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day, as well as any other worship services held at church.
2. Generate weekly worship plans and coordinating worship services, including preparing weekly bulletins.
3. Contact and coordinate readers for worship and handling PowerPoint display
4. Work in harmony with the Worship Committee in planning the worship life of the congregation.
5. Attend weekly staff meetings (currently Wednesday morning)
6. Attend weekly services (Sundays currently 9:00 am)
7. Attend and actively participate in Worship Planning meetings
8. Coordinate a music planning session for updating music for worship
9. Support specialized worship events/campaigns
10. Proofread monthly newsletter
11. Assist Media Specialist in preparing slides for PowerPoint used during worship
12. Monitor communion supply inventory and order as necessary
13. Communicate effectively with team members, congregation, and leadership to ensure clarity of vision and goals
14. Encourage active engagement from the congregation through energetic participation and welcoming interactions
15. Create and/or Maintain Google Documents:
- Worship calendar with lessons, and themes created by Pastor
- Worship Readers and service video schedule
- Music and Musician schedule
- Worship participant lists for volunteer sign ups
- Worship files for shared documents (bulletins, worship plans, etc. for each service)
16. Share Google Drive files with Pastor, Secretary, Media Specialist and Sunday School Admin:
- Share worship plans with Pastor Connie, Youth Coordinator, Media Specialist, and participants
- Share worship bulletins including bulletin inserts with appropriate participants
Requirements
- Ability to organize, coordinate and collaborate with multiple team members
- Strong capability with Windows and Microsoft Suite. Canva Suite knowledge would be a plus. Flexibility for change, learning and creativity.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively connect with team members and congregation members alike
- Demonstrated mentoring ability to support growth in others’ spiritual development
