Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Manager / Bookkeeper to manage the church office reception, to prepare weekly bulletins and monthly newsletters, to maintain church databases and financial records, and to perform other bookkeeping and clerical tasks.
Essential Functions
- Manage daily office operations including clerical tasks, filing, front desk responsibilities, and other duties as assigned.
- Oversee bookkeeping functions using QuickBooks, including payroll processing and budgeting.
- Prepare weekly bulletins and monthly newsletters using church software and Publisher.
- Maintain positive relationships with service providers and congregation.
- Implement effective calendar management practices to optimize scheduling.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in office management or administrative roles with a focus on bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks essential. Familiarity with budgeting practices preferred. Prior experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Publisher) required.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Computerized record-keeping skills and familiarity with filing systems.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
- Associate degree and two years prior experience preferred.
- Background check required.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.27 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 per week
