Christ Lutheran Church in Marietta, GA, is currently seeking an experienced and highly organized Administrative Assistant to oversee the day-to-day administrative operations of our church office. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the front desk, maintaining accurate records, organizing volunteers, and providing general support to our Pastor, Council, staff, volunteers, and congregation. This is a part-time position with 24 hours per week and an hourly pay rate of $19-$24, based on experience.

Important note: if hired, the position will start on November 3, 2025. You will work three weeks side by side with the retiring administrative assistant. During this training period, you will be paid_ $19/hour_ for 16-20 hours each week.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the church office, ensuring that it is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Greet visitors, answer phones, and respond to emails in a timely and professional manner.
- Coordinate and schedule meetings and events, including reserving rooms
- Manage the church website calendar and database, including maintaining accurate membership records .
- Provide administrative support to staff and congregation as needed.
Desired Experience and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
- 3 years of experience in an office management or administrative role.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, OneDrive, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Suite.
- Experience managing databases and using church management software is a plus.
- Experience managing websites and/or social media pages is a plus
- Typical work week is Monday-Thursday, no more than 24 hours. Rare, occasional, evening or weekend work possible. Normal shift is 9am-3pm.
- Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise discretion when dealing with sensitive information.
