Position Title: Maintenance Support – Full Time
Date: September 2025
FLSA Category: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Purpose
The Maintenance Support role is responsible for assisting the Maintenance Team in ensuring that church facilities remain clean, functional, and presentable. This position also provides essential support for the preparation and execution of church events.
Position Focus
The primary focus of this position is to contribute to the upkeep of the church’s buildings and grounds, and to assist in event set-ups and teardowns in alignment with operational needs.
Position Status
- Full-Time, Hourly
- Regular Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday, 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- Required to work on holidays when the Church is open
- Required to work during all major church events
Supervisory Relationship
This position reports directly to the Maintenance Lead Team Coordinator.
Essential Responsibilities
- Perform routine floor maintenance, including stripping, waxing, mopping, buffing, vacuuming, and shampooing
- Clean and maintain restrooms, including fixtures, floors, mirrors, and walls; restock paper and soap supplies as needed
- Execute general cleaning tasks, including emptying trash, dusting, and cleaning surfaces, furniture, and window sills
- Clean and squeegee windows and other glass surfaces
- Assist with minor outdoor maintenance, including trash collection and weed removal
- Maintain cleanliness, order, and inventory of maintenance closets, supply areas, and workspaces
- Replace light bulbs and perform basic facility upkeep as assigned
- Support event logistics by setting up and tearing down furniture, equipment, and other required items
- Assist with office furniture relocations and reconfigurations
- Monitor and maintain waste disposal areas to ensure proper upkeep
- Perform other related duties as assigned including painting
