Children’s Ministry Assistant

Function: Program Staff
PURPOSE:
To provide administrative support for the Children’s ministry programs at Christ Church.
POSITION FOCUS:
Responsible for providing administrative support to both Early Childhood (ages birth to Kindergarten) and Elementary Ministry (Grades 1 to 5).
SUPERVISORY RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports to: Children’s Ministry Directors
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provides administrative support including tracking registrations, volunteer tracking, and database administration.
- Follow-up with new families and registrations.
- Helps schedule volunteer teams as needed.
- Schedules events and maintains the ministry calendar.
- Assists in creating promotional and communication materials.
- Orders supplies to support curriculum and special events.
- Attends meetings as requested.
- Create promotional and final materials for VBS and camps for Early Childhood and Children’s Ministries.
- Coordinate summer camp check-in and launches.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ministry Overview
- Create promotional and final materials for VBS and camps for Early Childhood and Children’s Ministries.
- Create, print and post all signage for weekly and special events for Early Childhood and Children’s Events.
- Draft, edit and coordinate Family Ministry content for monthly cards.
- Draft and post Early Childhood and Children’s monthly eNews.
- Schedule and organize all rooms and resource needs for Early Childhood and Children’s Ministries and Family Ministry events.
- Create and manage Signups for Children’s and Early Childhood Ministries.
- Coordinate and monitor event registrations, ensuring smooth processes for families and volunteers.
- Manage schedules, rooms and resources to support programming and outreach efforts.
- Draft and edit communications, including newsletters and website updates.
- Oversee volunteer applications and ensure compliance with safety and participation requirements.
- Manages money collected for events for Children’s and Early Childhood ministries.
- Reviews and submits monthly credit card receipts for Children’s Ministry Directors.
- Manages expense reimbursements for Early Childhood and Children’s Ministries.
- Manages volunteers’ applications for Early Childhood and Children’s Ministries.
- Assist with set-up and fill-in for programming if needed.
- Perform all other job-related duties as assigned.
