Part-time Housekeeper

This position is responsible for cleaning of a Residential Treatment facility focusing on the daily general cleanliness and ensuring a proper and sanitary environment for clients, employees, and visitors. Ability to perform housekeeping duties throughout the facility and maintain equipment in a state of cleanliness. Ability to stand for an extended period of time. Ability to lift, push and/or pull up to fifty pounds. Clean and maintain supplies in all bathrooms; sweep, vacuum and/or mop all facility floors; empty all trash. Notify supervisor of any problems/concerns with equipment and perform all duties as assigned. Maintain weekly maintenance checklist reporting to supervisor when necessary. Educational and work experience requirements: 1) High school diploma or GED preferred. One Year of experience in housekeeping in a residential facility is required. Must have a valid Michigan Driver's License acceptable to Agency Insurance company. Good moral character, emotionally stable, and of sufficient health, ability, experience, and education to perform the assigned duties and free of communicable tuberculosis. 6) Awareness and sensitivity of cultural differences among agency residents. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability to adjust focus. Work Environment: The position encounters cold, wet and/or humid conditions, heat and fire, moderate to loud noise levels, and may have to reach precarious places.
