What are the responsibilities and job description for the Next Generation & Outreach Pastor position at Christ Centered Church?
POSITION SUMMARY:
Christ Centered Church is looking for a passionate and servant-hearted pastor to help lead and grow our Next Generation ministry. This role focuses on reaching young adults, college students, and young families while helping create opportunities for people to grow in their relationship with Christ.
The ideal candidate loves people, enjoys building relationships, and is excited to serve both inside and outside the church. This person will work alongside the Senior Pastor, ministry leaders, and volunteers to support the church's vision and mission.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and disciple young adults and the next generation.
- Plan and support Bible studies, small groups, fellowship activities, and outreach events.
- Help welcome and connect first-time guests into the life of the church.
- Build relationships within the local community, schools, colleges, and organizations.
- Assist in planning and promoting church events and ministry activities.
- Support the church's online presence through social media, website updates, and digital communication as needed.
- Recruit, encourage, and develop volunteers and ministry leaders.
- Preach or teach as assigned by the Senior Pastor.
- Participate in pastoral care, prayer, visitation, and other ministry responsibilities.
- Attend staff meetings and work collaboratively with church leadership.
- Perform other duties and ministry responsibilities as assigned to support the mission and growth of Christ Centered Church.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A growing and mature relationship with Jesus Christ.
- A clear calling to pastoral ministry.
- Agrees with the beliefs, vision, and values of Christ Centered Church.
- Passion for reaching and discipling people.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Able to work well with volunteers and ministry teams.
- Organized, dependable, and willing to learn.
- Comfortable using technology and social media for ministry.
- Previous ministry experience is preferred but not required.
