REFUSE DRIVER: CDL B, Manual Transmission
REAR LOAD PACKER TRUCK
POSITION SUMMARY:
Each driver will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of roll off trucks, while providing prompt, courteous and complete waste removal services for customers on designated routes.
Packer drivers are responsible for preparing, emptying and the occasional transport of rear load containers at various disposal sites which include landfills, transfer facilities and the various customer jobsite locations.
Packer Drivers will need to navigate driveways, alleyways, job sites and traffic filled roadways. This may also entail operating in tight environments, backing up long distances such as private driveways as well as heavy industrial and crowded environments.
Candidate will possess a willingness & ability to safely work and operate a vehicle in all weather conditions.
HIRING RANGE: Pay based on experience. Monday – Friday and some Saturdays with occasional overtime! Daily schedules may often fluctuate but are generally 6:45 am to 3- 3:30 PM. Night work available and may be at times required (approx.1 hr job with it's own rate)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operate vehicle in accordance with Chris Rizzo Trucking safety and expectations, DOT, as well as all local, municipal, state and federal laws.
Examining trucks for safety and functionality before, during and after your routes each day.
Report any unsafe situations or service-related issues to dispatch.
Report any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage to dispatch and/or management at your earliest convenience.
Report service problems, blocked containers or any potential safety hazards.
Report all containers damaged and in need of repair.
Communicate with dispatch to improve route production and communicate the best way to perform your duties.
Communicate any customer requests with dispatch.
Complete and submit work orders and driver logs as required.
Expected to deliver and return containers to a customer’s property in a position that ensures the safe and proper operation of the container. Ensure driveway entrances, mailboxes or other traffic thruways are not blocked.
Must follow the route as assigned by dispatch and understand the customer’s needs and will communicate if the need arises to alter any route.
Engaging with disposal team members and drop off site personnel.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The requirements listed below are qualifications necessary to perform the job:
Applicant must possess a class A or class B, valid and clean driver’s license, with air brake endorsement. MANUAL OPERATORS LICENSE REQUIRED.
Applicant must be 18 years old
Successfully complete a pre-employment DOT drug screen, physical, and background check, which will include previous employment check, criminal history and motor vehicle record review.
