Summary:
The Food and Beverage Supervisor is primarily responsible for leading and supervising the outlets team. S/He will promote a safe and welcoming working environment to achieve maximum guest satisfaction. The Food and Beverage Supervisor will work with the Food & Beverage Manager to ensure maximum efficiency.


The Food and Beverage Supervisor shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times. S/he will be responsible for exemplifying the Hotels Culture and Core Hotels & Resorts Core Values.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.
  • Train, coach and assist associates in the Food & Beverage operations
  • Monitor performance and recommend corrective action
  • Alert management of potentially serious issues


Maintain positive guest relations at all times by
responding to customer needs and rectifying any guest issues

  • Monitor and control the maintenance/sanitation of the various outlets to ensure safe work environment
  • Oversee cash handling and check/credit policies and procedures
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings to inform staff of daily events
  • Promote teamwork and quality service


Monitor the open dining sections of the restaurant for empty and cleaned tables.

  • Estimate wait time for guests.
  • Maintain a neat and accurate reservation book and wait list.
  • Ensure the needs of the guests are met while they are waiting in the restaurant.
  • Answer the telephone as needed.
  • Book reservations.
  • Move tables together to accommodate large parties.
  • Maintain efficient traffic patterns in the kitchen area(s)


REQUIREMENTS


Experience & Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • Minimum of 2 years of employment in the F&B industry
  • Prior restaurant experience a must
  • Prior hotel experience a plus
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Exceptional guest-focus
  • Fluency in other languages beneficial


Job Requirements:

  • Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English
  • Must have exceptional communication skills, both oral and written
  • Must be able to accurately follow instructions, both verbally and written
  • Must have basic computer skills
  • Must have basic mathematical skill for report / forecast preparation
  • Must be alert to the customers' needs
  • Must be detail-oriented and work well under pressure
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be professional in appearance and demeanor
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule which may include evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Must have strong problem-solving, reasoning, motivational, organizational and training skills
  • Must be able to manage time effectively
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision
  • Must be goal oriented
  • Must have excellent listening skills
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • Must have to the ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Must have the ability to resolve problems, conflicts in a tactful and diplomatic manner


Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to stand and walk throughout the shift
  • Must be able to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds at shoulder height
  • Noise level is usually moderate

Salary : $62,500 - $65,000
