Nursing Assistant (Staff)

We are currently seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our collaborative team.

  * Full Time - Day shift three twelves', every other weekend

You will have the opportunity to work with a great team of dedicated individuals.  We offer a team based approach to patient care and operate in a supportive environment that fosters the highest level of teamwork, integrity, respect and empowerment.

 Provides all care in accordance to the resident’s specific and individualized plan of care;

• Offers suggestions to licensed staff regarding details of resident preference;

• Assists residents with ADL’s as needed and provides total care for those unable to care for themselves;

• Distributes food trays, assist or feed residents, as needed;

• Ambulates residents who need assistance;

• Treats all residents with dignity and respect;

• Makes rounds every two hours and turns bed residents providing skin care as needed, if incontinent;

• Reviews residents’ care plans and provides care as planned, including bowel and bladder program and restorative nursing program;

• Monitors vital signs, charts and documents care appropriately;

• Receives report, making note of information given during report and meeting scheduled activities for the resident;

• Organizes work, setting priorities and follows Centre Care policy and procedures while giving care;

• Maintains positive interaction with residents, family and other staff members;

• Provides a clean, neat environment for residents.  Makes beds, keeps bedside cabinets neat and clean;

• Provides safety by keeping equipment in appropriate place on nursing units;

• Provide snacks and juice to designated residents:

• Maintains confidentiality of resident information;

• Demonstrates good Infection Control principles: hand washing, aseptic techniques, and isolation procedures;

• Cooperates and offers help to co-workers;

• Assures physical comfort and mental well-being of residents;

• Observes and reports symptoms, reactions and changes;

• Electronic documentation system.
