Position Summary
A Housekeeping Services Aide is responsible for maintaining a clean and presentable facility appearance. Follows facility cleaning policies and insures a clean and sanitary work environment. Follows established sanitary and infection control policies and procedures.
General Purpose
The general purpose of the Housekeeping Services Aide is to maintain the facility in a clean state.

Position Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Clean resident rooms, utility rooms, med rooms, day rooms, nurse’s stations and corridors
- Clean offices, employee break room, shower rooms and common areas
- Clean sinks, toilets and hoppers
- Empties trashcans and other refuse containers
- Washes interior windows
- Cleans resident furniture, equipment is beds, mattresses, wheelchair, O2, dresser.
- Floor care duties as assigned.
- Vacuums carpets
- Dusts and polishes furniture
- Washes walls, doors, and cabinets
- Cleans baseboards, shelves
- Attends meetings, training and in-service as required.
- Performs other job-related work as necessary.
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Ability
Education/Certifications/Experience
- EDUCATION: High School Diploma or Equivalent
- EXPERIENCE: Work Experience – 1 year working experience as housekeeping worker in a hospital, institution, or long term care facility.
