Position Overview: We are seeking a Regional Medical Director (Psychiatrist) to oversee clinical operations within a designated region. This leadership role includes supervising a multidisciplinary behavioral health team and providing high-quality, individualized psychiatric care. Our Regional Medical Director will provide evidenced based mental health treatment, participate in care planning meetings, and work closely with psychiatric nurse practitioners (NPs) as well as licensed independent social workers (LISWs). Key Responsibilities: Oversee regional clinical operations, ensuring excellence in care delivery. Lead a multidisciplinary team, including NPs, social workers, psychologists, and counselors. Provide psychiatric care, including diagnosis, treatment, and medication management for residents. Collaborate with team members to develop and implement care plans. Ensure compliance with clinical standards and regulatory requirements. Maintain accurate documentation using electronic medical records (EMR) systems. Coordinate psychiatric care with medical and nursing staff, ensuring integration of physical and mental healthcare, particularly for complex cases involving comorbidities. Ensure care practices comply with CMS regulations, as well as other relevant regulatory standards. Participate in quality assurance activities to maintain high standards of care. Qualifications: Education: MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school. Board Certification: ABNP Board-certified in Psychiatry Licensure: Licensed to practice psychiatry in the state.
