The Implementation Contract Specialist plays a critical role in executing CHP’s new site launches by coordinating, reviewing, and organizing all contract-related documentation required during implementation. This position ensures each correctional healthcare contract is accurately interpreted, operationalized, and transitioned into live service. This role partners closely with Operations, Leadership, HR, Finance, and Recruitment to guarantee compliance, timely deliverables, and smooth onboarding for newly acquired facilities.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Translate contract terms into actionable items for Operations, HR, Recruitment, Finance, and Clinical leadership.
- Track all contractual obligations including staffing matrices, credentialing requirements, on-site hours, coverage needs, training requirements, KPIs, reporting obligations, holiday schedules, pricing, and service expectations.
- Ensure all implementation steps meet county/state requirements, federal regulations, and CHP internal SOPs.
- Maintain compliance documentation and recordkeeping throughout go-live.
- Create implementation checklists, timelines, and deliverable trackers customized for each facility.
- Coordinate the collection of required documents such as credentialing items, insurance certificates, facility access forms, and onboarding materials.
- Work directly with HSAs, DONs, site leadership, and county officials during onboarding.
- Support operational teams in interpreting contract terms during startup.
- Ensure all non-clinical and clinical roles align with the contracted staffing matrix.
- Partner with the Recruitment team to ensure job postings, pay scales, schedules, and coverage match contractual commitments.
- Work closely with Finance to validate bill rates, service fees, and contract pricing.
- Support HR and Credentialing in gathering required documentation needed per contract (background checks, TB tests, immunizations, licensure verification).
- Communicate contract updates, deadlines, and required actions across internal teams.
- Maintain an organized, secure repository of contract files and implementation documents.
- Prepare summary reports for leadership outlining risks, compliance concerns, and approaching deadlines.
- Track deliverables from start of implementation through post-go-live stabilization.
- Monitor progress to ensure all contract terms are fully operationalized prior to launch.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in correctional healthcare, healthcare operations, or contract administration strongly preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of contract coordination, implementation, or compliance experience.
- High attention to detail and ability to interpret complex contract language.
- Strong organizational and project-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple simultaneous site launches in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and project-tracking tools.
