Responsibilities:
- Perform professional massage therapy sessions for clients, following established protocols and guidelines.
- Assess clients' needs and create customized treatment plans to address their specific concerns.
- Utilize a variety of massage techniques, including deep tissue, trigger point therapy, and Swedish massage, to provide pain relief and relaxation.
- Maintain accurate and detailed client records, including treatment notes and progress reports.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as acupuncturists, chiropractors or physical therapists, to develop comprehensive treatment plans for clients.
- Stay up-to-date with current research and trends in massage therapy to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
- Adhere to all relevant legal and ethical standards in the practice of massage therapy.
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 years of experience as a licensed massage therapist.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Proficient in performing patient assessments to identify areas of concern or pain.
- Skilled in providing pain management techniques to alleviate acute or chronic pain.
- Experience with occupational health and working with patients who have work-related injuries or conditions is a plus.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and provide clear explanations of treatment plans.
Requirements:
- Valid state license or certification as a massage therapist.
- Professional liability insurance coverage.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
